when i got my sierra temp guage wasnt workin and fan wasnt cuttin in, so the wee thermo switch was gone so i replaced that and now the fan cuts in but only one fan comes on rather than two, is this right or should two come on? also the temp guage still doesnt work just goes as far up as it can and stays there has anyone had this problem? whats causin it?

Firstly welcome in

the fan switch on the DOHC is a dual stage jobby, so the first fan (left as you look at the front of the car) should come on at 88 degrees iirc, then the second one at 92 degree iirc!

perhaps it's just not gettin hot enough so. i thought one wasnt working on a previous car and that turned out to be why, i just never sawit on but then one day i did, but the car had got a lot hotter before i checked it that day
